It doesn’t feel like Christmas
It doesn’t feel like Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere.
If you were born in Europe, Christmas is cold, maybe snowy in your childhood memories; every street, shop and corner is sumptuously and painstakingly decorated well before Christmas Day.
Nights come earlier and a multitude of coloured lights glow in the darkness, warming up your soul. Market stalls sell mulled wine, sweets and nativity sets.
So, to me, Summer doesn’t evoke Christmas time.
Until you come home after work and find a beautiful floral composition your love made and all of a sudden, even only for a moment, it’s Christmas again.
